When our frames are used in conjunction with ISOVER or Knauf insulation and Panel vent board it is possible to achieve a U value of 0.15 making our timber frame homes very thermally efficient and cheap to heat during the cold months.
The standard wall frame of the timber frame is constructed using 195 x 45mm and this is usually the same for the sole plate, studs and plates.
The construction of the roof will be determined by the size and span required and usually involves glulam beams and posts. The roof can be constructed using trusses or 'cut' depending on design.
